Here it is! ~ My top 3 favorite desktop Linux distributions, 2019 Edition!
In this video, we’ll look at Linux Mint, elementaryOS, KDE Neon, as well as Solus Linux, and Manjaro!
I want to clarify what I mean by “Desktop Linux Distribution” – basically any Linux distro that is specifically made for the “everyman” Linux user. There are lots of Linux distros with specialized purposes, such as Kali Linux, but there are also distros that are tailored for developers or sysadmin work. Pop_OS, for example, is a fantastic distro, but I feel it is geared towards developers rather than everyday desktop users.

April 9, 2020Pop!_os has been a favorite of mine for a while. The default Gnome environment is pretty good, but I use KDE on both of my machines. Perfect general purpose distro.

April 9, 2020Linux Mint 19.3 once installed and loaded up with your favorite apps, is even porkier than Win10. I don't know where you get only uses 700-800GB of RAM and 7 GB of HDD……more like 1.2GB of RAM and ended up filling 50 GB of storage.
It is probably the most polished and friendly distro for the Microsoft ex-patriot though.
But I also like Peppermint OS and recommend it more. It's a little bit more faster and efficient with resources. Everything just worked for me right away. Under 500MB of RAM and 6-7 GB of storage with a few extra apps added that weren't part of the distro to keep it lightweight.

April 9, 2020I did Apple Support as a tier 2 for 8.5 years. I can tell you that Elementary OS looks like MacOS and hardly any features. YES, most of my customers were bad and I was glad they couldn't mess with features. Anyways, great video, i am building a new RIG since mine is 13+ years old and Win 7 is no longer supported. Viva La Linux!!

April 9, 2020Isn't KDE just a desktop environment and not an actual Distro (OS)? That is like saying cinnamon is a distro. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this video is going to confuse new users trying to learn about linux.
