The clear command is helpful to keep your terminal window clean and free of clutter.  In addition, by default many systems come with a long command prompt and in a later exercise I'll show you how to clean yours up and make it as simple as possible.  We'll even add a blank line like you see here as it helps the eyeball see the breaks easily. -Paul
