Set Up Git:
git config –global user.name “Your Name”
git config –global user.email “youremail@domain.com”

other commands
git clone (url)
git add (file names)
git commit -m “(committed message)
git push -u origin master
git remote add origin master (url)

nothing happens, it just says
Package git is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

Installation :
sudo apt-get install git

git –version
git config –global user.name "username"
git config –global user.email "email"
git config –list
pwd
gedit .gitconfig
create general directory for github
go to that dir
git clone url
ls
go to that dir

file pushing :
touch program.cpp
vim or gedit the program
git status
git add program.cpp
git status
git commit -m "FIle name"
git push -u origin master
username
password
