There’s a lot to cover in this cumulative update to elementary OS 5 Juno. This point release combines all of the work that the elementary team has put into their OS over the last 12 months. Updated ISOs also mean an up to date HWE stack – which might be just what I’ve needed.

I think Linux distributions are great enough to design their own user interface. Like Ubuntu

InfinitelyGalactic: Does it come with that dock out of the box? Have they got to 20.04 LTS yet? If not can I change the repositories to 20.04 LTS?

"I dont want to comment it right now because i think we are all over it by now. But i think it's great,…" And than you comment on it for i dont know how long. WTF bro. Here, ibuntu.jimdo.com thats a nice macOS Look&feel distribution without elementaryOS chains on it

Linux has come a long way, elementary os looks so polished and user friendly, if only they could convince software companies to make their software for linux…i use gimp, inkscape etc for my graphics needs, but i also use unity, ableton, reason etc…wish we could use these softwares on linux, i would switch to elementary os in a heartbeat

I installed EOS. The Sound is a mess. It goes up n down and crazy style..
Probably wrong drivers or something. I have no idea how to fix this and it gets techy.
This is the point where basically Some People start getting supertechnical and some people simply can't be bothered and continue to use a different OS, one designed for actual human beings. Not just in theory, but in practice.
The install system is also a bit more complicated than Windows. I had to go manual and tell EOS where to MOUNT! You have to understand the superwierd linux file system and mount EOS on /
Also.. there is no humane way to contact devs for bugs or feedback. They took the time to write something about how to do this via github.. they could have very well written a simpler page: 'We do not want to be contacted so we devised a convoluted system that you won't be able to figure out, if you want to submit a bug'.
Anyway, not exactly easy to install, and really complicated to debug afterwards! It doesn't help that there is very little info on the internets.. most people complain about No Sound. Nobody reported messed up sound. And I found.. zero EOS Discord Channels.

I have been using this OS with my Ryzen and GTX 1060 card and i have no problems with it, i can play League of Legends with 144fps using lutris and with steam play i can play any game with no fps problems, no need to use windows anymore!, i have it in my Acer laptop with ryzen 3 apu and League of Legends works perfect too with lutris, so steamplay and steam games, i love Elementary OS.

The App Centre and indeed other software centres have a lot of random crap and there's no real distinction between the random crap and the essential software everyone uses

Just switched from Arch to Elementary OS, I was a long-term Fedora user until IBM bought it, it's only on my main machine so far, the rest are still Arch, but if this works out I'll be looking at two servers and a laptop too. So far so good, and the interface is pretty good.

So far only the Arduino IDE and KiCAD has some display issues.

apt install is working really slow. [40-80 KB]. Switched to apt-fast better installation speed. But still not perfect. Locking the screen Win+L takes a couple of seconds, which can be frustrating, definitely takes away from the experience. Sudden freezing of applications. Maybe I will find more bugs in the future. But the distro looks damn good! It's sexy! That can lead to you searching the forms for even installing simple stuffs. VLC won't open from the Files app(God knows why!), have to go into the terminal every time I need to open up a video & yes I set it as default. She is sexy but difficult to manage.

Why i like Unity, is that it minimizes the space desktop bars take in height. This is important with small laptots, like Zenbook that i have. Gnome puts extra unneeded top bar compared to Unity, so does also Elementary. If Elementary would get rif if the extra top bar, i would strongly consider migrating from Unity to Elementary. As long as Unity still works, and nobody else gives as much space on height on the screen, I will stick on Unity.

I've recently dual booted elementary OS with windows 10. I'm totally new on Linux, So when I started elementary OS, there wasn't a wireless network operations or WiFi options. There was only wired network operations. So how can I bring wifi network operation or fix this problem?
